Before coming to BI, he was a Deputy Director General at the Norwegian Agency for Classified Information Systems (SGP), which he has played a significant role in establishing. The new agency provides classified shared solutions to public and private entities subject to the Security Act and contributes to secure information flow within and between the government, the defence sector, and the total defence.
“Anders brings an extensive experience within change management, strategic development and financial management from a number of large, complex and innovative organisations. I look forward to having him join my top management team, where he will play a key role in realising BI’s strategic ambitions,” says Karen Spens, President of BI.
Meldalen has previously served as Director of Operations and CFO at the consulting company Cowi, CFO at Bravida Norway, as well as holding roles as Finance Manager and CFO within the Siemens AG group.

Among other things, I am eager to operationalise BI’s new and ambitious strategy. It is also very motivating to contribute to ensuring compliance with BI's vision, which is to provide innovative knowledge and learning that transforms lives, businesses, and society.”
Meldalen holds a master’s degree in business administration (siviløkonom) from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, in addition to having completed studies within business administration (bedriftsøkonom) at BI.
The position of EVP Governance, Strategy and Finance is part of BI’s top management and reports to BI’s President Karen Spens.
